August 18: SKC Invitational Dinner

If you save the date for just one event this summer, make it the SKC Invitational Tee-Off Dinner and Auction. The Tee-Off Dinner and Auction’s distinct, diverse vibe mashes the historic beauty of the Muehlebach Hotel, the insanely popular tunes of Lost Wax and The Battery Tour’s social dance and music movement. All this, plus you, come together in the spirit of making a difference in the lives of children battling cancer. We hope you’ll join us.

Date:  Friday, August 18, 2017

Location:   Muehlebach Hotel

109 West 12th Street

Kansas City, MO 64108

Featuring Music by
LOST WAX
Lost wax, Kansas City’s premiere party band, sets itself apart with unique mashups like Bittersweet Symphjayz – think The Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony” and Jay Z’s “Dirt Off Your Shoulders” – and funky tracks spanning four decades, from the soulful stylings of Aretha to the modern-day chart toppers of Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake.
Introducing Special Guest Entertainment by
THE BATTERY TOUR
The Battery Tour has awakened the streets of Kansas City and the Country Club Plaza with a new form of entertainment that’s part singing, part dancing and totally interactive. The Battery Tour has no barriers, including in their act everyone who has a voice or a move to share. Lead singer AY-Musik got his start in 2012 on the X Factor, has opened for entertainers including Iggy Azalea and Wiz Khalifa, and is now a touring sensation.

Chair Couple: Wiley and Caroline Curran

The Victory Project is thrilled to introduce Wiley and Caroline Curran as the first-ever chair couple for the SKC Invitational. Their passion for helping children affected by childhood cancer will be instrumental for the success of the 2017 event this August.

Caroline is a Kansas City-native that moved to Denver after finishing her bachelor of arts degree in psychology at The University of Kansas. In Colorado, she worked in commercial real estate as a retail broker for Legend Retail Group. She is excited to be back in Kansas City where she can focus on great causes like beating childhood cancer.

Wiley Curran is also a Kansas City-native and serves as President of Curran Companies.  The group invests their capital, and their experience, in strong management teams that can grow their lower middle market business into a market leader. Wiley is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization and was recognized as one of Kansas City’s Twenty in Their Twenties in 2013. Wiley attended Miami University in Ohio and earned his MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Texas.

Wiley and Caroline recently welcomed their first child, daughter Freya.
